Senior Manager | Learning & Impact (serving Tri-Cities)

Dawn McCoy brings more than two decades of experience strengthening nonprofit organizations through leadership, operations, financial oversight, and governance, including senior roles across multiple community-based organizations. Her work focuses on building effective systems and advancing organizational capacity.

Prior to joining the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, she served as Executive Director of the Virginia Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Program and as CEO of the Chesterfield Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry (CCHASM), where she led regional collaboration with local agencies and community partners to support individuals across the Tri-Cities region.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Howard University and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, where she was a Bryce Harlow Scholar.
