C3 is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Operations and Finance Manager to support our growing team. This full-time position plays a key role in keeping our organization running smoothly—from financial reporting and HR support to office management.

Job Duties

Operations
-Maintain accurate and organized physical and digital filing systems.
-Help maintain and update personnel and operations policies and procedures.
-Process new hires and support onboarding; ensure compliance with required reporting.
-Monitor employee benefits and assist with enrollment and plan administration as needed.
-Provide administrative support to program staff as needed.
-Manage inventory of office supplies and printed materials.
-Manage state and federal nonprofit filings.
-Implement and oversee cybersecurity protocols.
-Evaluate and maintain C3’s software platforms and subscriptions.

Finance
-Manage bookkeeping functions, including processing deposits, A/R, A/P, payroll, and reimbursements.
-Complete monthly bank reconciliation.
-Generate and track invoices and receipts
-Generate monthly financial reports for the Director and Board.
-Oversee and support annual financial audits.
-Coordinate with our off-site Accountant to compile tax and audit information.
-Manage retirement account contributions and annual compliance reporting.

Skills Required

Required
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
-Strong integrity, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential information.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
-Reliable, self-directed, and able to work well both independently and within a team.
-C3 does not sponsor work visas at this time.

Preferred
-2–3 years of bookkeeping, finance, or administrative experience.
-Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Work Schedule

-40 hours per week.
-Hybrid work options are available. A minimum of 16 hours per week must be in person.
-Supportive, mission-driven team environment.
-This position will be based in Charlottesville, Virginia. A small relocation stipend is available for out-of-locality applicants.

Additional Info

Compensation & Benefits
-$60,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience.
-Paid 20 days Personal Time Off (PTO), 12 days health leave, and 11 paid holidays.
-Fully paid medical and dental benefits for employee and 50% coverage for families.
-Employer contribution of up to 5% of salary to retirement.
