Early Head Start Home Visitor – Full Time, 40 Hours per week

Compensation/Benefits:

Job Duties

Responsible for the following job duties:
• Works with Early Head Start families in assessing and responding to the individual needs of children 0-3 years old, their caregivers and pregnant women.
• Provides weekly home visits, 2x monthly group socialization activities and monthly parent committee meetings for enrolled families.
• Works independently and within a team to implement and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards

Skills Required

Successful candidates will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred or AAS Degree with at least 12 college credits in Child Development or Human Services or a related field or Family Development Credential with one-year experience working with infants and toddlers or the parents of infants and toddlers.
• Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.
• Experience and humility to work with the culturally diverse populations present among the local community.
• Knowledge of theory and practice in the area of infant and child development and age-appropriate intervention strategies and risk factors for child abuse and neglect.
• Ability to organize time effectively to meet assigned work demands.
• Ability to express and transmit ideas and knowledge clearly.
• Ability to evaluate own performance, capabilities, limitations and biases with reasonable self-reflection.
• Current and valid driver’s license and maintain at all times a motor vehicle insurance policy that carries at least the minimum limits of liability of $300,000 combined single limit or $100/300/100 split limits ($100,000 per occurrence, $300,000 per accident for bodily injury, $100,000 per accident for property damage

Training will be provided.
