Dignified Disaster Housing
Mission Statement: Our Goals: To aid the healing process of disaster victims by providing interim housing that reflects the vernacular architecture of their areas. It is our belief that the dignity afforded by traditional architecture along with the privacy afforded by the rapid construction of small structures are intrinsic to the recovery process of communities affected by disasters. In addition, the ability for people to return to meaningful employment empowers them. Therefore the majority of the work is done at the affected areas with local labor.
