FREE Tool for CNE Members to Help Identify Technology Priorities

CNE is excited to launch the Technology Checkup, a self assesment tool, exclusively for members.  The tool is designed to help nonprofit organizations evaluate their current technology needs and think strategically about its future use.  Piloted  with 6 organizations this summer, all participating organizations reported having a better understanding of technology in their organization as a result of using the tool.

We are committed to providing tools and resources to help our members proactively pursue mission-driven technology, so more time is spent focusing on what's important. Our 2011 Nonprofit Sector Technology Survey results revealed that only 1 in 5 nonprofits in our area plan for technology, well below the sector average, yet planning is critical to the strategic use of technology.

Take the first step towards aligning technology and mission by using the tool to assess your technological health. The goal of the Checkup is to complete a review of your day-to-day use of technology, its alignments with your mission and strategy and to walk away with a list of short and long term technology priorities. The Technology Checkup takes approximately 2 hours to complete and is most effective if a key group of stakeholders are involved.
