Aging Together is a small non-profit organization based in Culpeper that is seeking a full-time County Resource Specialist (CRS).  Aging Together serves Culpeper, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Madison and Orange Counties and is a collaborative effort to help respond to the tremendous growth in our older population.  AT identifies resources and gaps in service for seniors and ensures that older adults and their families know where to turn for help when needed.

This position requires strong communications and networking skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with local businesses and individuals.  The CRS coordinates community resource information; supports Aging Together teams in each County; assists in developing and maintaining effective volunteer networks; helps with coordination of partnership events/programs; collects and compiles data; and represents organization at community events such as health fairs, etc.  Knowledge of local community resources and experience with website management/development of flyers/posters is a plus.  Knowledge of working with volunteers, problems facing elderly adults and fundraising is desired.  Comfort with writing and public speaking is necessary.  Self-starter and independent worker with outgoing personality is sought.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in a relevant field and volunteer recruitment/coordination or community organizing experience is important.

Significant local travel and hours may vary (some evenings and weekends.)
