Accountant

The UVA Darden School Foundation is currently seeking an Accountant who will maintain Foundation financial records and controls. Primary duties include general ledger entry and account reconciliations. Primary customers the Accountant will support include the Development team and the Foundation’s merchant account users. The Accountant will be responsible for internal accounting department functions which may include bank reconciliations, investment accounting, and/or accounts payable and reporting projects. Additionally, the Accountant will assist the Controller with month end close duties and ad hoc projects as well as provide information for the annual audit and regulatory filings.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel are required. Prior experience accounting for contributions and investments and using Great Plains accounting software are a plus.
